13 reasons why conclusion

“Hope is a blessing upon my nation. Without hope, no mother would feed her child and no farmer would plant a tree.” The Holy Prophet Muhammad

By benefitting from the teachings of Islam, we know that there is always hope. God knows the struggles that we face and “does not task any soul beyond its capacity” (Holy Quran 2:286). He goes on to remind us “When My servants ask you concerning Me, then surely I am very near; I answer the prayer of the supplicant when he calls on Me.” (Holy Quran 2:186). Therefore, suicide should never be an option that any of us consider.

The more obstacles that we face in this life, the stronger our faith should be. The stronger our faith is in this life, the more prepared we are to face life’s many challenges; its trials and tribulations. Imam Ali teaches us “You suppose you are insignificant, while in truth, with you lies the greater universe.” We are created for heaven and God, the most Beneficent the most Merciful, has equipped us with all we need in this world to succeed.

Suicide is never the answer: God has created a system of support for all of us, i.e. family, friends, religious scholars, clergy, law enforcement, teachers and coworkers; such individuals are a brief example of the multitude of people who you can go to for help. So please reach out to any number of them when you are encountering problems. If more help is needed, please call The Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.
